MIN Function in Excel with Example

MIN ()

This function picks the lowest value from a list of data.

Syntax

=MIN(Range1,Range2,Range3... through to Range30)

This function can be applied on any number and dates also.

Formatting

No special formatting is needed.

For example

MIN function is used to find minimum sales month wise, region wise and overall minimum, then you can use min function like below:

1	Sales	Jan'19	Feb'19	Mar'19		Region Min
2	East	$   3,500	$   2,000	$ 10,000		$   2,000	=MIN(B2:D2)
